Rant & Roll for Your Personal Message

Have you noticed anything you have been ranting about lately? Something in particular that has been irritating you? If so you are actually very lucky and in a good position for finding what is important to you and what you are passionate about. It holds the keys to your personal message. It is time to Rant & Roll to get your personal message.
Your personal message is powerful. Once you pull it out of all the distractions that are generally happening around you in your life, it will give you a sense of purpose and direction. Your message will help you focus and stay on course towards your goals. So, how do you get your message from your rant?
Well, think about it like this- do you ever rant about anything you do not care about? No! The truth is you only rant and become irritated about something that matters to you. Your rant starts when you perceive something you value is being violated. Pay attention to your rants!
Rant & Roll for Your Personal Message
When you find yourself irritated or ranting about anything at all take note of it. On your next available moment, write or type out your rant. You do not need good language or grammar; you only need to keep writing until you have said everything you want to say.

1.Write Your Rant: Here is an example of one of my rants:
I will start by saying there are some amazingly talented and good people in my field of NLP and hypnotherapy. I have been lucky enough to be mentored by some and others I have seen online and such. But too often I hear and see things that are just not okay.
I heard one hypnotherapist/NLP practitioner telling a person that hypnotherapy is a hobby job and not a career. I am a hypnotherapy and NLP practitioner and my clients ARE NOT HOBBIES. I love and care about each one and I love seeing them move into that positive, focused place where they are finally getting that project done, having awesome relationships, feeling healthier, etc. Clients are not hobbies; they are amazing people with amazing gifts! I love awakening people to what I see in them!
I talked with another practitioner online who told me a trance is a trance is a trance. I told him okay put someone in a meditation trance and let’s see how far that runner gets to the finish line! He didn’t know the first thing about perspective and using vision. He had a huge online presence and it scared me because the more I questioned him the more he gave me answers like that until he just cut the conversation altogether. You have to get focused on the right places to have change.
Putting people in trance is easy. We go in and out of trance states all the time throughout our day every day. Trance is easy. What is said and done while in trance is what is important. Even good intentioned people can cause harm if they are not aware of where their guidance is leading their clients. I look into the future, short term and long term to get an idea of what trajectory that my work will take my client. And I work these processes on myself. I have stopped using a process altogether if I cannot even work them on myself. I really dive deep into my work so I can be an excellent guide. I want the best for my clients.
Practitioners must be ethical! I have experienced unethical hypnotherapy and I have heard of others using their skills as covert language patterns (verbal and nonverbal) to manipulate another person or client. It can cause real damage. Even as a hypnotherapist myself I refused to seek therapy of any kind for a few years after. I had lost trust. I cannot stress ethics enough. I am fully aware of my responsibility for understanding appropriate boundaries and properly using the field that is created between the therapist and client. I must have integrity so that my clients can trust the therapy and be safe doing so.
It is really about Caring. Caring about the client, about people. Empathy. Caring about the process. It is about really knowing at depth what you are doing because you are affecting the lives of others. You do not have to know everything, you cannot, but taking a master practitioner NLP class doesn’t make you a master at using it, you must practice and experience it. Get to know the process personally. Know what you are really doing and look into the future (future pace) your own work to see where you are sending your clients. You know it when you are no longer just repeating and copying but using it creatively and in new ways. Ethics and boundaries create a safe place for your client. Just a check in to make sure you are upholding that space. I have seen good therapists start to cross boundaries and ruin the therapy.

2. Pull out the key elements (I had help pulling this out):
Putting people in trance is easy. We go in and out of trance states all the time throughout our day every day. Trance is easy. What is said and done while in trance is what is important.

I cannot stress ethics enough. I am fully aware of my responsibility for understanding appropriate boundaries and properly using the field that is created between the therapist and client.

It is really about Caring. Caring about the client, about people. Empathy. Caring about the process. It is about really knowing at depth what you are doing because you are affecting the lives of others.

3. Put it altogether into a Personal Message:
I care about you. I care about you reaching your full potential and achieving your goals. You matter. This work is not one size fits all. It matters to me that we focus on what’s essential and right for you in the moment. It matters that we move forward, with clear understanding and trust so that you feel safe making the changes you want to make.

4. Apply it to your life.
I use my Personal Message to create a boundary and focus that defines my role and who I am in the context of working with clients. Your Personal Message will help you focus and operate within your values and beliefs help you achieve your goals and live more authentically.

Give it a try! To sum it up once again:
1. Write your Rant and let it Roll with the flow. Do not be insulting if other people will read it.
2. Pull out the key elements as you read it over. Write those out.
3. Use those elements to create your Personal Message. That is what you value and feel passionate about.
4. Apply it! It is your Personal Message to create focus and boundary of operation. You will live authentically when you follow your Personal Message.
